Chicago, IL – Feb 12th, 2019 - Alabama A&M University selects QuickLaunch as their identity partner to solve identity challenges faced by the institution. As a part of this collaboration, QuickLaunch is offering its IAM suite (identity provider, self-service single sign-on, self-service password manager, multi-factor authentication, adaptive authentication, user self-registration and provisioning / de-provisioning) to the institution.
QuickLaunch Identity Provider will help the institution to own a trusted and secured identity on the cloud.
QuickLaunch Single Sign-On will help the users to login to multiple applications such as Banner®, O365®, Gmail®, GradesFirst® and Spolnet® with a single set of credentials. Remembering multiple usernames and passwords will no longer be a problem for students, staff and faculty.
QuickLaunch Self-Service Password Manager will allow users to reset passwords on their own without the need to raise requests to the IT helpdesk. Besides reducing helpdesk costs and overheads, this will help boost the draining productivity of users and the IT helpdesk.
QuickLaunch Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) will allow users to set at least one additional mode of authentication to verify their identity at the time of login or resetting their password, without relying on a single password.
QuickLaunch Adaptive Authentication will solve BYOD security headaches and enhance fraud risks assessments by leveraging artificial intelligence. It will trigger additional authentication based on deviations in user behavior (location, network, browser, device etc.), preventing false access.
QuickLaunch User Self-Registration will allow first time users to create their own password, eliminating the process of providing default passwords to new users joining the institution.
QuickLaunch Provisioning / De-provisioning will help IT administrators to onboard / offboard users faster, streamline user access management across multiple applications, grant privileges to different users based on their roles and synchronize active directory changes to downstream applications within seconds. This will save manual effort and time, thereby boosting productivity of IT administrators and increase security by ensuring the right access to right users at the right time.
Alabama A&M University will be going live with QuickLaunch Identity, Single Sign-On and Password Manager in first week of March 2019. The students, staff and faculty will now be able to login to multiple applications such as Banner®, O365®, Gmail®, GradesFirst® and Spolnet® using just one username and password.
Moreover, they will be able to reset their passwords using QuickLaunch self-service password manager with Multi-Factor Authentication.
QuickLaunch as an identity partner will help AAMU to improve overall user-experience, boost productivity, reduce helpdesk costs and minimize IT overhead.
"QuickLaunch is delighted to launch its flagship identity platform at Alabama A & M University and improve the operational efficiencies of their IT team by helping them manage their identities using our IAM suite.
