Stephen F. Austin State University Selects QuickLaunch to Drive Digital Transformation

Miami, FL – Jun 4, 2021: Stephen F. Austin State University, a public university in Nacogdoches in Texas selects QuickLaunch as its identity partner. As a part of this collaboration, QuickLaunch will be offering its Identity Provider, Single Sign-On, Password Manager with MFA, Adaptive Authentication, User Self-Registration, and Automated User Provisioning solutions to the institution.

QuickLaunch Identity Provider will help the institution to own a trusted and secured identity on the cloud. Single Sign-On will help the student, faculty, and staff to log in to multiple applications with a single set of credentials. Remembering multiple usernames and passwords will no longer be a problem for students, staff, and faculty.

Self-Service Smart Password Manager will allow users to reset passwords on their own without the need to raise requests to the IT helpdesk. Besides reducing helpdesk costs and overheads, this will help boost the draining productivity of users and the IT helpdesk. Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) will allow users to set at least one additional mode of authentication to verify their identity at the time of login or resetting their password, without relying on a single password.

Adaptive Authentication will enhance fraud risk assessments by leveraging artificial intelligence. It will trigger additional authentication based on deviations in user behavior (network, location, browser, device, etc.), preventing false access. It will give a boost to institutional security and prevent account takeover attacks.

User Self-Registration will help the institution to streamline the user onboarding process for first-time users. Instead of having students come to campus or sending them letters via mail, they will be using QuickLaunch User Self Registration to send notifications and reminders; have users set up their account and configure their password and security parameters through the university’s online, secure portal. QuickLaunch will also track whether a new user has set up their profile, security settings and allow them to set up notifications to nudge them through the orientation process.

Automated provisioning will help the institution to replace custom scripts with a fully automated provisioning engine capable of provisioning users on the fly. Overall, QuickLaunch will act as a true identity partner for Stephen F. Austin State University and will help in streamlining cumbersome processes at the university while automating the user onboarding process.
