Extended Capabilities include:
Support for Multiple User Stores (MS Entra ID, AD, and LDAP), the Ability to Customize MFA Factors Based on a User's Situation, Enhanced Functionality for Helpdesk Administrators, Expanded Insights & Reporting, and UI Enhancements.
Miami, FL – Oct 14, 2024: QuickLaunch, a leader in identity and access management (IAM) solutions, today announced new feature enhancements to its IAM platform, delivering expanded capabilities in user management, security, and reporting. These enhancements include full support for MS Entra ID as a user store, advanced help desk functionality, increased availability of API end points, and enhanced analytics and reporting.
MS Entra ID
Higher education institutions need to manage users across various platforms, such as Active Directory (AD), Microsoft Entra ID, G-Suite, and other user stores. In many cases, institutions are moving away from on-premise AD and transitioning to Microsoft Entra ID as their primary user store. Supporting Multiple User Stores (MS Entra ID, AD, and LDAP) will enable institutions to make this shift smoothly, ensuring a seamless transition from on-premise AD to Entra ID.
Institutions using Entra ID, or those transitioning to it, can take advantage of QuickLaunch platform features like Single Sign-On, Self Service, Adaptive MFA, Account Activation, and Identity Lifecycle Management.
Help Desk Enhancements
Helpdesk administrator now have the ability to manage users' profiles, MFA, and passwords across multiple user directories. The platform also provides visibility into where users have accounts. Admins can access Entra ID, AD, LDAP, and other user directories from a single platform, allowing them to update information and configure accounts across multiple directories, even if user accounts exist in more than one user store. This ensures seamless management and visibility across all user directories.
Ability to Customize MFA Factors Based on a User's Situation
Institutions can select the most appropriate authentication methods based on the needs of their constituents. Administrators can offer multiple factors, allowing end users to choose their preferred options for multi-factor authentication.
Insights and Reporting on User Behavior
The administrator can access more detailed and comprehensive reports. These reports include a variety of critical insights such as users' login history, application access history, high-risk events, failed provisioning requests, and the number of users utilizing single sign-on (SSO). Additionally, they can see which applications users are accessing. This improved reporting helps administrators better understand user behavior, monitor security risks, and optimize application access across the organization.
