Brenau University Selects QuickLaunch Platform to Solve Identity Challenges

Chicago, IL – Dec 6th, 2017 - Brenau University recently selected QuickLaunch, a leading cloud-based, self-service Identity as a Service (IDaaS) p to achieve a one-stop platform that would simplify and streamline the Brenau student and faculty experience.

“Our vision was to create a more intuitive Brenau experience for each student,” said Chip Andrews, vice president of information technology and CIO at Brenau, a private, not-for-profit comprehensive university based in Gainesville, Georgia. “With users currently having to remember different passwords for various systems, it creates a lot of confusion and frustration. First and foremost, our goal was to make things easier and more intuitive.”

QuickLaunch helped Brenau deliver a seamless portal user experience for students as well as the faculty. The QuickLaunch team provided them with a one-stop platform, which covers all applications with products such as:

  • Identity Provider, which helps own a trusted and secured identity source on cloud
  • Single Sign-On, a tool which enables users to access multiple applications with a single set of credentials
  • Password Manager, a self-service tool for managing passwords without relying on helpdesk services
  • Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA), an authentication tool that provides more than one factor of authentication. The modes include phone, email, security questions and more

Brenau University selected QuickLaunch because it comes with a vast experience of serving thousands of higher education institutions worldwide, from New Mexico State University to Havering Sixth Form College in East London, England. QuickLaunch is 75 percent more cost-effective than comparable solutions while the self-service and high cloud availability makes the platform unique. QuickLaunch provided Brenau out-of-the-box integrations with key enterprise applications in higher education such as CampusWeb®, Canvas® and Gmail® to name a few.

“We knew we needed to create a plan to realign our infrastructure and processes to offer an intuitive Brenau experience, but we struggled with how and where to start,” Andrews said. “The QuickLaunch team presented us with not only a clear picture of our current infrastructure but also the roadmap to get where we want to be. We are sure that we would now be able to enhance the end user experience and make technology easy for our students.”
