QuickLaunch Debuts First Class Identities for AI Agents

QuickLaunch a leading provider for AI-powered Integration and Identity, demonstrated their latest feature for supporting first-class Identities for non-human AI users. This provides a higher-ed institution's identity/security team real, trustworthy visibility into what AI agents exist, what they're allowed to touch, and what they've done. The new agent identity user contains the following capabilities:

Agent registration - admin-initiated (Register Agent wizard: Name/Description → Owner → Assign Role(s) → secret display/confirmation), QuickLaunch Agent ID + Secret, manual handoff to the agent's actual runtime in the Agentic Design Studio or a project at an institution’s campus.

Owner assignment - search-driven picker (Name/Email/User ID) reusing the same module as the Access Review’s existing user search; suggested-from-import state is in scope only if the agent source carries owner metadata, otherwise manual assignment is sufficient.

Roles & Entitlements - the Systems & Endpoints curation layer scoped to the defined systems. Role creation/editing with the Applications & Entitlements builder, including the "grant full access" / "grant read-only" presets.

Provenance - "tagged by" / "last modified by" surfaced inline with the existing user interface.

Lifecycle management - Active / Deactivated / Deleted states, credential regeneration, and the separate emergency-revoking action.

Activity & Audit Log - agent-level and global views, filterable, with the Autonomous vs. On-Behalf-Of distinction surfaced wherever delegated tokens are used.

Honest entitlement-truth labeling - whatever is shown as "declared" must not be visually or textually implied to be enforced.

This feature builds upon the work that was conducted earlier in 2026 by the AI Identity Council for Higher Education that produced the AI Agent Inventory Tool and the CIO’s Guide to Managing AI Identities on Campus currently available for free to anyone on QuickLaunch’s public website.
