QuickLaunch Releases Single Sign-On to InCommon® Federation

Chicago, IL - February 23rd, 2018 - QuickLaunch, the award-winning Identity Management company, today announced it has released single sign-on integration to Internet2®s InCommon® Federation. This integration enables QuickLaunch clients to seamlessly access InCommon® Federation from the QuickLaunch SSO portal.

InCommon®, operated by Internet2®, provides the U.S. higher education and research community with the common framework for trustworthy shared management of access to online resources. InCommon® facilitates the development of a community-based common trust fabric sufficient to enable participants to make appropriate decisions about the release of identity information and the control of access to protected online resources. InCommon® is intended to enable production-level end-user access to a wide variety of protected resources.

QuickLaunch Single Sign-On integration to InCommon® Federation provides the following value to its clients:

Access to InCommon® Resources – Clients now have access to a variety of protected resources including:

  • Microsoft® Imagine®
  • Box® & Dropbox®
  • National Student Clearinghouse®
  • EBSCO® and many more

Infrastructure – Clients no longer need to reinvent the wheel and install and maintain require separate instances of Shibboleth® because QuickLaunch includes an identity provider (IDP) that supports protocols such as OAUTH, WS-Federation and SAML and includes out-of-the-box attribute mapping with InCommon Federation.
