Platform - Single Sign-On

One Login. Every App. Every Person on Campus.

Students live in ten systems a day. QuickLaunch SSO gives them one identity and one portal for all of it — passkey-ready, branded to your institution, and built to work with the identity stack you already run, including Microsoft Entra. Because every login barrier is a drop-off point, and one login that just works is a student-success strategy.

Why SSO

One Login Is a Student-Success Strategy.

A student who can't get into the LMS the night an assignment is due doesn't file a ticket — they miss the deadline. Login friction shows up as missed work, missed billing deadlines, and missed connections to campus services. QuickLaunch SSO removes that friction everywhere at once: one identity, one portal, every application, from the first day of enrollment.

1

One portal, every app

the SIS, LMS, email, library, housing, billing, and 500+ pre-built adaptors behind one login.

2

Day-one access

SSO picks up the moment enrollment posts and the account is claimed; no gap between admission and access.

3

Passkey sign-in, 8× faster

a 98% sign-in success rate vs. 32% for password + MFA, phishing-resistant to NIST AAL2.

4

Works with your portal

enterprise portal integration keeps your campus front door and puts SSO behind it.

5

Role-based access control

students, faculty, staff, alumni, and applicants each see exactly the apps their role grants.

6

Every login visible

real-time reporting on who signed in, to what, from where — feeding the same analytics layer as the rest of the platform.

The Platform

Everything SSO Has to Do on a Campus

Six capabilities, one login — federation, directories, adaptors, portal, roles, and reporting, working as a single engine.

For Unifyed Campuses

Running Unifyed? You're Already Running QuickLaunch

The engine under your portal is ours.

Every Unifyed campus runs on QuickLaunch under the hood: we provide the login bridge that signs your users into the portal, and the real-time sync between Active Directory and the portal's student record database that keeps accounts, roles, and records aligned continuously, not on a nightly batch.

That means moving to the full QuickLaunch platform isn't a migration to something unfamiliar. It's an upgrade of the engine you already trust same login bridge, same sync, plus passkeys, the full MFA suite, first-time account claim, AI Voice reset, and lifecycle automation on top.

Real-Time Directory Sync is a platform capability in its own right see how it keeps the portal aligned with the source

Already on Microsoft Entra?

Keep It. We'll Complete It.

Here's something most vendors won't say out loud: if your campus wants Microsoft Entra as its SSO, that's a supported option in our flow. Entra is the highway; QuickLaunch is the on-ramp built for higher education. You choose the deployment model and you can change your mind later without starting over.

Deployment Model 1Entra-CentricEntra keeps SSO. QuickLaunch completes the parts Entra wasn't built for on a campus:
  • First-time account claim - no temporary passwords in inboxes
  • Higher-ed MFA options - including phoneless paths for testing centers
  • Real-time lifecycle - enrollment-driven access, not 30-minute sync polls
  • AI Voice password reset - 24/7 self-service, no ticket
Deployment Model 2QuickLaunch-CentricQuickLaunch owns the login layer end to end; Entra runs downstream:
  • One branded portal - every app behind your institution's front door
  • Full MFA + passkey suite - one method per user, per risk profile
  • Lifecycle from the SIS - identity follows enrollment, automatically
  • Entra as a connected app - Microsoft 365 works exactly as before

70% of QuickLaunch campuses also run Microsoft Entra. That's not a conflict it's the design.

The State of the Art

SSO Isn't Standing Still. Neither Are We.

Single sign-on is being reinvented right now the credential is changing, the standards are converging, and the newest users on campus
aren't even people. QuickLaunch is built for where SSO is going, not where it's been.

Who Wins

Benefits by Role

Students

One login from day one the LMS, email, billing, and every campus service without a password maze. Fewer lockouts, fewer missed deadlines, more time in the systems that matter.

IT & Help Desk

Login is the #1 ticket driver in higher ed. One identity with self-service reset takes the reset queue away — campuses have cut login-related tickets by up to 95%.

CISO

One enforcement point for authentication policy: phishing-resistant passkeys, per-role MFA, geofenced step-up, and a real-time audit trail of every sign-in on campus.

Cabinet & Retention

Access friction is invisible attrition. One login that works is infrastructure for persistence — every student connected to every service from the first day of the term.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

What is QuickLaunch Single Sign-On?
QuickLaunch SSO gives everyone on campus one login for every application the SIS, the LMS, email, the portal, and 500+ pre-built adaptors beyond them. It federates over SAML, OIDC, and CAS, connects multiple directories at once, and is branded end to end to your institution. One identity, one portal, every app.
Can we keep Microsoft Entra as our SSO?
Yes and we design for it. About 70% of QuickLaunch campuses also run Microsoft Entra. In the Entra-Centric model, Entra keeps SSO and QuickLaunch completes it with first-time account claim, higher-ed MFA options, and real-time lifecycle. In the QuickLaunch-Centric model, QuickLaunch owns the login layer and Entra runs downstream. Either way, nothing is ripped out we complete your stack, we don't compete with it.
We're a Unifyed customer — what does this mean for us?
You're already running QuickLaunch. Under the hood of every Unifyed portal, QuickLaunch provides the login bridge and the real-time sync between Active Directory and the portal's student record database. Moving to the full QuickLaunch platform is an upgrade of what you already have same engine, more capability not a migration to something new.
Does QuickLaunch SSO support passkeys?
Yes. Passkey sign-in is live today about 8× faster than password + MFA, with a 98% sign-in success rate versus 32% for passwords, and phishing-resistant to NIST AAL2. With passkeys becoming the default authentication method across the industry in 2026, QuickLaunch campuses are already there.
How does SSO improve student success?
Every login barrier is a drop-off point. When a student can't reach the LMS the night an assignment is due, that's not an IT ticket it's a missed deadline. One login that works from day one removes friction from every course, every service, every day of the student lifecycle. That's why one-login access is a core part of a student-success strategy, not just an IT convenience.
What systems does QuickLaunch SSO connect to?
500+ pre-built adaptors across higher education: SIS platforms like Banner, Colleague, Jenzabar, Workday Student, PeopleSoft, and Anthology; every major LMS; Microsoft 365 and Google Workspace; and your enterprise portal. Multi-directory integration connects Active Directory, Entra ID, LDAP, and Google simultaneously.
What about AI agents can they use SSO?
They'll have to and QuickLaunch is ahead of it. The industry began rolling out single sign-on for AI agents in 2026, treating agents as first-class identities with short-lived credentials instead of hardcoded API keys. QuickLaunch already issues every Connector-Agent its own identity through the QuickLaunch Identity Server, so the same governance that covers your people extends to the agents working on their behalf.
